シアトルGlass Wing とのイベントの企画としてスタートしたコラボレーション。

身幅も着丈も袖口もオーバーサイズながら、カフスがしっかりとあることにより袖のたるみを演出でき、最適なバランスを導き出します。
シャツというカテゴリーのデザインながら、生地により大きく表情を変えることも魅力です。
ジャケット生地では両サイドのビッグポケットがまるでブルゾンのようなイメージになりますし、シャツ生地ではしっかりとドレープが出てエレガントさを演出します。

-太平洋岸北西部のオーカス島で育ったアレフは、彫刻家であり木造船の建造者でもあった義父と多くの時間を過ごしました。

この豊かな環境に身を置いた彼の初期の作品は、北西海岸のネイティブ彫刻に見られる様式化された自然主義から、そして後には家族旅行で日本を訪れた際に見たもの全てからインスピレーションを得ました。

彼の作品は進化を続けながらも、自然の形態の持つシンプルな優雅さへの一貫した関心を保っています。近年の作品は、プラトン立体の統合的な形態へと直接的に移行しています。アレフは、プラトン立体は人間の主観を超えた真実、そして私たちよりも先に存在し、私たちよりも長く続く魔法のような存在であり、私たちはそれを体験し、触れ合う喜びを得られると考えています。

熱心な旅行者であり職人でもあるアレフは、どこへ行くにも自分の作品を持っていき、自分の周りの矛盾を探求する場としてこれらの形式を使い続け、世界に美と誠実さを還元し続けています。

This collaboration began as an event with Seattle Glass Wing.

Although the width, length, and cuffs are oversized, the cuffs are firm, creating a drape in the sleeves and achieving the perfect balance.

Although it is designed as a shirt, the fabric greatly changes its appearance, which is another appealing feature.

When made with jacket fabric, the large pockets on both sides give it a bomber jacket-like look, while when made with shirt fabric, it drapes beautifully and creates an elegant look.

- Aleph, who grew up on Orcas Island on the Pacific Northwest coast, spent much of his time with his stepfather, a sculptor and wooden shipbuilder.

His early works, influenced by the stylized naturalism seen in Native American sculptures of the Northwest Coast, were also inspired by everything he saw during family trips to Japan.

While his work continues to evolve, it maintains a consistent focus on the simple elegance of natural forms. His recent works have transitioned directly into the integrated forms of Platonic solids. Aleph believes that Platonic solids are magical entities that exist beyond human subjectivity, predating us and outlasting us, and that we can experience and interact with them with joy.

As both a passionate traveler and craftsman, Alef carries his works with him wherever he goes, continuing to use these forms as a means to explore the contradictions around him, and to continually return beauty and integrity to the world.
