“MATORY”—tweed, bouclé, and brushed fabrics. Three colors that showcase winter fabrics in their purest form. Throughout the world, fabrics have always been closely intertwined with the cultures of various peoples.



- STORY -
「冬に、人は本当にサンダルを必要とするのか？」という、誰も問わなかった問いに対して。

人類の進化は、人類の歴史とともにあった。
草を巻き、革を編み、毛皮で寒さをしのいできた。
靴は時代と共に進化し、やがてファッションや自己表現の手段にもなった。

しかし、いくら文明が発達しても、
“冬にサンダルを履く”という発想だけは、長く進化の系譜に存在しなかった。

そこで我々は仮説を立てた。
──寒さを耐えるのではなく、楽しめる足元があれば、
人間の冬はもっと自由になるのではないか。

そして試作を重ね、改良し、10年という時間の中でSUBUはかたちになった。
断熱性、履き心地、外でも歩ける構造。
そのすべては、快適・リラックスという未来のための進化だった。

今、我々は一つの結論にたどり着く。
SUBUとは、ただのサンダルではない。
冬という季節を、足元から書き換えるプロダクトである。

これは、履き物の進化における“冬の分岐点”。
これが、我々の導き出した進化論である。
