日本三大絣の一つ”備後絣”から派生した「備後節織」を使用したスキッパーシャツ。

今回はBALANCEから別注を依頼し、インラインではリリースされていない生地を選んで作成してもらいました。

シャツのパターンは23AWにリリースされた "fushiori skipper shirts" と同型で、SS使用の清涼感のあるカラーに変更しています。

生地は、”乱れ絣（みだれかすり）”といい生成地に不規則な経緯の絣が乱れる様に織り込まれています。

シンプルゆえに木綿の素朴な風合いが伝わってきます。

旧式のシャトル織機でゆっくり丁寧に作られていています。

1日に最大でも30m程しか織ることができず、決して大量生産のできない非常に貴重な素材です。

This skipper shirt is made of "Bingo Setsuori", which is derived from "Bingo Kasuri", one of the three major kasuri fabrics in Japan.

This time, BALANCE requested a special order and selected a fabric that has not been released in-line to be used for this shirt.

The shirt pattern is the same as the "fushiori skipper shirts" released in 23AW, but in a cooler color for SS.

The fabric is called "midare kasuri," or "irregular patterned kasuri," and is woven with irregular patterns of long and short kasuri woven into the raw fabric in a disordered manner.

The simplicity of the fabric conveys the simple texture of cotton.

It is made slowly and carefully on an old-style shuttle loom.

Only about 30 meters can be woven per day at most, making it an extremely valuable material that can never be mass-produced.
