IN ACMNIOTIC FLUID

真紅の発光体が暗闇で手足を伸ばし生命の力強さを感じさせる一方で、柔らかなブルーは羊水の中の記憶を呼び覚ます。生後2ヶ月の姪の神秘性に魅せられた写真家の「写真の中で姪を“羊水へ還す”」というアイデアを、粒子が瞬くシルク５色分解プリントで表現。

HOUMI SAKATA

坂田 帆海

東京を拠点に活動するフォトグラファー/写真家/映像作家。国内でファッションデザインを学んだのち、ロンドンのセントラル・セント・マーチンズにて本格的に写真を始めた。2020年に拠点を東京に移してからはファッション・広告の撮影をメインに活動。Nike、Adidasを始めとするスポーツブランドからDiorやSacaiなどのハイブランドまで国内外のビジュアルを多数手掛ける。

2023年に個展[sugar road]を渋谷で開催、翌年写真集を発表した。現在は映像の作品制作にも精力的に取り組んでいる。

IN AMNIOTIC FLUID

While a crimson luminous body stretches its limbs in the darkness, evoking the vigor of life, a soft blue recalls memories within the amniotic fluid. Captivated by the mystique of his two-month-old niece, the photographer expressed his idea of “returning his niece to the amniotic fluid within the photograph” through a five-color silk separation print where particles shimmer.

HOUMI SAKATA

Homi Sakata

A photographer/photographer/filmmaker based in Tokyo. After studying fashion design in Japan, she formally began photography at Central Saint Martins in London. Since relocating to Tokyo in 2020, she has primarily worked in fashion and advertising photography. She has created numerous visuals for both domestic and international brands, ranging from sportswear labels like Nike and Adidas to luxury houses such as Dior and Sacai.

In 2023, she held a solo exhibition [sugar road] in Shibuya, followed by the release of a photobook the following year. She is currently actively engaged in creating video works.
